2014 was an amazing year at VMIRocks!
VMI formed 94 bands!
We had over 700 rehearsals, nine concerts at places like the Gallo Center, Heroes, Modstock at Mancini bowl, and the Rock ‘n Roll warehouse.
VMI had award-winning floats in the Fourth of July parade and the Celebration of Lights Christmas parade.
Our floats with Roberts auto sales won best musical group, best small corporate float, best corporate float, and the Modesto Celebration of Lights sweepstakes award meaning the best float in the entire parade!
We had numerous articles in the Modesto bee and the Modesto view and Chloe Ramirez, of the VMI rocks band sparkling spotlight, was on the front page of the Ceres Courier.
Modstock won the Modesto Area Music Award for best small event.
The VMIRocks band Perfect Nightmare won the Modesto area music award for best youth band!
VMI moved to our new location at 501 Bitritto Way, 2000 square feet of private and group classrooms and the 5000 square feet of performance space/theater known as The Rock and Roll Warehouse.
We became a vendor for Hart Ransom Charter School and Keyes to learning Charter School.
We were invited to become a vendor for Connecting Waters Charter School.
We were joined by the most excellent guitar teacher Josh Scharmann!
VMI added two of the most well-known musician teachers in town: the very famous Eli Lester on guitar and the legendary Dave Hawkes on drums!
We are looking forward to a very interesting 2015.
The next VMI rocks session begins the week of January 19, sign up now and play at the Gallo Center!
