The 14th annual Modstock music festival sponsored by Roberts auto sales is upon us. This is our biggest event of the year and the only one where our VMI Bands Share the day with literally almost every single one of the greatest bands from Miles around.
All of our bands will play two songs. You will have no more than 90 seconds from the time the band before you finishes until you begin. If it takes you more than 90 seconds to be ready to play then we will only play one song.
NO EXCEPTIONS
IF YOU ARE USING MUSIC, HAVE IT OUT OF YOUR BOOK AND READY TO GO.
IN EVERY CASE, TUNE 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOU ARE TO TAKE THE STAGE
IF YOU ARE USING PEDALS, GET THEM PLUGGED IN A COUPLE OF BANDS EARLY.
IF YOU ARE USING MULTIPLE INSTRUMENTS, GET SOMEONE TO HELP YOU GET ON STAGE AND HAVE THEM AT THE READY.
BE READY TO PLAY AND STANDING AT THE STEPS ON THE SIDE OF THE STAGE WHILE THE BAND IMMEDIATELY BEFORE YOU PERFORMS.
We hope everybody hangs around all day You will have an opportunity to check out so many cool professional bands, and bands on the rise. Several former VMI bands and currently gigging VMI bands are performing on other stages. That can be you sooner than you think.
There will be over 70 food and drink and arts and crafts and other vendors so please come hungry and ready to shop As of today, they are predicting 92° which for Modstock, counts as cool and breezy🌞🕶️
Special note: if you perform before 11 AM, you need to get there at least a half an hour early. Good day Sacramento will be there and they may need to interrupt our show to meet their programming requirements. They also do what they call teases so you may make it on TV as one of those or as background during a segment. Two bands have been chosen for featured on air performance so we may need to stick them in in front of you if required.
Keep checking the schedule in case there are changes, but I will text it out to each of you so there’s really no excuse for not getting back to me with necessary changes before tomorrow.
