We take 58 bands to the prospect theater artist lab for three nights of rock ‘n’ roll family time! This is the only concert on our current tour where we can have the bands play three songs each. This is also the only ticketed event, eight dollars in advance and $10 at the door. There will be beer and wine and snacks available so come ready to party! This is the most delicate schedule to make as it deals with everyone’s schedules on various nights and also rehearsal schedules. There will of course be many changes as people try to work this into their itinerary so please continue to check the website for the most up-to-date version of the lineup throughout this week. Please also grant as much grace as possible, as some rehearsals will be abbreviated, missed, or have the teacher absent for some or all of the time as everyone runs back-and-forth between VMI and the prospect theater. Luckily it’s only two blocks. Next stop is porch fest on May 19 at 319 Griswold Ave., my house. Our house will be open that day, feel free to go upstairs and watch the bands from there or check out the music room. We will also have some snacks and drinks available, if you would like to hang out, please treat it as a potluck and bring a little something to share. Then we take three weeks off and start our summer session, which will include the 14th annual Modstock music festival, four stages this year, a performance at the Stanislaus county fair, three nights at 5 Eye Brewery, and two VMI shows.
