Whoever normally uses the Tube Crate at rehearsal will be using my Mesa Stilleto Trident amp at the shows. Mesa/Boogie Stiletto Trident Amp head (stage 1). This powerful beast is loaded with features, beginning with 150 watts of power (switchable to 50). The tubes are the highest quality hand-wired Mesa EL-34’s, which offer a distinctive bright and vibrant clean tone, not to mention balls out saturation that will knock your neighbor’s windows out. Mesa began making these amps in 1994. What I like about this amp is its versatility. Mesa provides a variety of switches to get all types of crunch tones. For example, dialing in a British Pete Townshend sound is no trouble at all. Many people have likened this amp to Mesa’s version of a Marshall because of its saturation capabilities.
