Free rock concert
The valley rocks — and a concert at the Gallo Center this Sunday aims to prove it.
VMIRocks.com and Roberts Auto Sales present the free rock concert featuring 15 bands from the Valley Music Institute rock band program. The all-ages performers range from first-timers to experienced pros who play genres from light rock, blues, pop rock to hard rock and metal.
Scheduled are The Matrix, Van Wailin’, Scream, The Black Skulls, Legal Contraband, Road Runner, The Outside, The Less Paul Band, Death Metal Sandwich, The Youth Gone Wild, The Guttah Chuggahs, Wildside, Turning Point, On Tap, The Mysters and The Plectrums.
Sunday’s concert is set for 3 to 8 p.m. at the Gallo Center for the Arts, 1000 I St., Modesto. Admission is free and on a first-come, first-served basis. See www.vmirocks.com for more information
